Grant Process
The grant application process works as follows:
Step 1: Applicant completes MAVA's online grant application.
All requested information must be supplied. Online submissions will receive an automated notification of receipt from MAVA (this is a notification, not an acceptance). Annual reporting will be required from grant recipients.
Step 2: MAVA reviews application
Following receipt, grant applications will be reviewed for adherence to guidelines and due diligence will be done on organizations applying for grants by MAVA's Philanthropy Committee.
Step 3: Committee makes recommendations
The Committee will make a recommendation to MAVA's Board for action within the timeframes specified below.
Grant Timing
MAVA will accept applications July 1 through September 30. All grant applicants will receive notification of the status of their submissions by the end of the year and MAVA intends that grants will be awarded by December 31.
