Arlington-Based In-Q-Tel Invests in Redlen Technologies

In-Q-Tel, the Arlington-based venture fund backed by the CIA, said it has invested in Canada's Redlen Technologies as part of that company's new $5.5 million funding round. Pangaea Ventures led the round for Redlen, a maker of high-resolution semiconductor radiation detectors. The company will use the proceeds to expand its product line and volume production capabilities. Redlen's products are currently used in a variety of applications, including nuclear cardiology and dirty bomb detection.
