Baltimore-Based Videology Raises $60 Million in Fourth Round

Videology, the Baltimore-based digital ad technology startup headed by former co-founder Scott Ferber, said it has raised $60 million in its fourth round of funding, led by Catalyst Investors. Previous backers New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Valhalla Partners and Comcast Ventures also participated, along with new investor Pinnacle Ventures. The company said it will use the round to further develop its platform, which lets users plan and manage video ad campaigns using features and specifications typical to TV, while taking advantage of the advanced targeting and optimization of digital media. "The greatest opportunity for growth is driven by the continued convergence of television with the Internet and mobile devices," said Ferber, the company's chairman and CEO. "Our technology bridges the traditional and digital worlds." Scott Ferber and brother John Ferber founded in 1998, and sold it to AOL for $435 million in 2004. He founded Videology in 2007.
