Foodem, an innovative B2B online food procurement marketplace and business intelligence solution for the $650 billion U.S. wholesale food distribution industry, and the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), are pleased to announce the establishment of their new strategic partnership. Launched in late 2013, Foodem facilitates relationships, automates foodservice procurement processes and connects wholesale food buyers with small to mid-sized food distributors, local farms and specialty food manufacturers.
The new partnership with RAMW aims to create additional value for members of the local restaurant and foodservice industry through Foodem’s innovative online marketplace. As the partnership grows, RAMW and Foodem will work together to build awareness and drive adoption of Foodem’s powerful e-commerce tools and advanced services to RAMW’s more than 800 industry members.
“We are ecstatic about our new partnership with RAMW,” said Kash Rehman, CEO and founder of Foodem. “This partnership was a no-brainer. It is the perfect opportunity for Foodem to set the standard and educate industry professionals on the importance of leveraging technology to decrease food costs, streamline and automate food purchasing, and satisfy the growing demand for more local, organic, sustainably-produced, and healthier food choices in restaurants and institutions.”
“We’re excited to forge this relationship with Foodem, whose services address the fundamental challenges of the foodservice industry," said RAMW president and CEO, Kathy E. Hollinger. “This partnership speaks to our mission to provide our members with the tools and support they need to run and grow successful businesses.”
