Dulles-Based Speek.com Raises $1.2 Million in Seed Funding

Speek.com, the Dulles-based developer of a visual conference calling service, said on Tuesday it has raised $1.2 million in seed-stage funding, co-led by several early-stage venture funds. The news comes on the heels of the start-ups October win at the Distilled Intelligence 2.0 pitch competition in DC, as well as acceptance into start-up accelerators 500 Startups and AOL's Fishbowl Labs.
